[suh-lon; French sa-lawn]
noun, plural salons
Definition: A fashionable assemblage of notables (as literary figures, artists, or statesmen) held by custom at the home of a prominent person.
The first Altai Salon event took place last week inside the kitchen of our beautiful Salinas manufacturing facility, bringing together Rep. Sam Farr (D-California), a mix of cannabis industry trailblazers, up-and-comers, and politicians from around the state. Chef Mark Ayers prepared a dinner featuring fresh food from around the Salinas Valley. This “night to remember” was capped with a delectable assortment of non-infused Altai chocolates for dessert.
As the wine flowed, we traded stories about our various journeys to this point, and the direction we hope the cannabis industry will move in the future. As the evening wound down, you could sense the feeling among the guests – this is the start of something special.
Below are photos from the evening:
It was an honor to bring together this group of people, willing to talk candidly about their ideas and the common goals we’ve set as an industry. We cannot wait until our next Salon.
