The Altai brand inspiration is the discovery of the tattooed priestess mummy found entombed and perfectly preserved under the permafrost in the Altai region of Siberia. Buried with various treasures, including a canister of cannabis, carbon dating placed her burial at approximately 500 B.C. Remarkably, later DNA testing revealed that she was very likely using the cannabis to treat the pain of her stage IV breast cancer. Her story is an inspiration to re-educate and re-contextualize the meaning of cannabis use in our modern culture.
